The future of JPhys+

JPhys+ was launched in 2015 as a pilot project to support the Journal of Physics (JPhys) series. Since then, we have blogged, tweeted, and supported the great science published in our journals; interviewed some fascinating researchers; and given a platform to the next generation of researchers.

The blog has been run by contributors, whose enthusiasm for promoting the high quality research published in our journals drove its success. Because of this success, JPhys+ will be moving to a new, bigger, yet still familiar home: Physics World when it relaunches early next year. Here we will continue to support the JPhys community but also offer this exciting service to other IOP Publishing titles, covering Materials, Atomic and molecular science, Condensed matter, Mathematics and computation as well as Optics and photonics, and Particle and nuclear physics.

The content on the blog will still be available to read, and new posts will be coming soon on the newly re-designed Physics World so make sure you check it regularly for the latest science news.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in JPhys+ – our readers, our authors, and staff at IOP Publishing. To everyone who has written a post for us, and anyone who said yes to an interview: JPhys+ wouldn’t have been the same without your input and support over the past two years. Thank you.

We look forward to you joining us over at Physics World.

The JPhys+ team.
